Ive been blessed with the good luck of finding a Brand new never fired Swiss Andre tanner rifle. It is the Standard Model 98 Rifle in 308/762 caliber. It is a repeater bolt action with removable 10 round magazine. Complete with all accessories and a custom made Andre Tanner scope mounting system.
Ive been wanting this exact gun for over 2o years. I found this example here in the USA. i believe it is an estate item that I found while surfing the internet looking for Swiss items for my collection. I just got the rifle from my local FFL dealer last week. It was being sold by a dealer a few states away from me.
I sent Tanner a few emails hoping to get some information about this gun. Im certain that it was made in the early 1980s however. There is no import marks, which I prefer ( I like my guns to be as original as possible without any unneeded post production...
